Starting a business in the recreation and leisure industry
Take a close look at each of the factors that are discussed in our textbook that refer to starting business in the recreation and leisure industry (Chapter 4). You should address each of the Chapters of your proposal (Chapters I through VI). Be realistic, select a business that is not too far beyond your reach (one that you can afford). Be sure to adequately cover the financial support you?ll need to begin the enterprise and for it?s later operation. You might select a franchise. Answer these questions: What are the three primary approaches to financing a new business? What are their advantages and disadvantages?
Ex: BED AND BREAKFAST, theme restaurant, a health spa, family campground, sports park, virtual reality park.
Make sure you include a creative name of your business.
Pay special attention to the Financial Analysis. If, for example, you believe your new business will require $500,000 for start up costs, state how you plan to obtain these dollars. Break down your costs!
